Personality: When meeting Chrome, it's a little hard to believe that anything horrible has happened to her--minus the obvious missing eye. She is a very sweet, gentle young woman, but painfully shy. She's polite to a fault and never holds a grudge--in fact, you never really see her get angry. At all. She even believes that a kiss on the cheek makes anyone feel better and has employed this more than once.
Before her accident, she was extremely asocial, having no friends and spending most of her time isolated from others. Even after the accident she doesn't really go out of her way to include herself, though she takes her role as Mist guardian very seriously.
With Mukuro she is much more open, telling him everything, and caring for him deeply. Since it was Mukuro whose power allows her to keep living, she feels she literally owes her life to him and is extremely loyal to him. She's completely aware of what his attitude is to other people, but she keeps quiet about it; in fact, she doesn't even mind if Mukuro is just using her until he can get out of prison. Mukuro is a constant presence in her mind, with Mukuro's essence residing inside of her, and the two need each other to exist. "As long as Chrome is alive, Mukuro can exist, and as long as Mukuro exists, Chrome can continue living."
She sees Tsuna as her boss, and the first person who believed and accepted her as his guardian. However, she is extremely shy towards all the other members of the Vongola Mafia. In fact, she usually runs away from any sign of kindness or courtesy by them, or others, and gets confused by it, as she never imagined her existence actually meaning something to people. After being trained by Mammon and learning to better control her powers she's gained a little bit more spine and belief in herself. She feels part of the Vongola Family now, as opposed to an uninvited guest and has gained more confidence. For the most part though, she's still incredibly shy and keeps to herself.
Many times she has shown the great inner strength and loyalty she has to her fellows. Most notably of this is when Daemon Spade, hidden in the body of Julie Kaitou, kidnapped her. Spade tried to convince her to help him, but she refused. He made her illusioned organs disappear and told her to join him or die; she again refused and said she’d much rather die then have ‘his’ organs sustaining her. He then forcefully brought her under his control, after much resistance from her.
Even when Spade snapped her out of it and tried to use her to draw Mukuro out she tried to fight; he made her organs disappeared and put her body under great stress, but she begged for Mukuro not to come, and to not be lured into the trap.
After all Spade did to her, she harbors no love for him, but in keeping to her inability to hold a grudge, she has forgiven him after learning about his past, and even cried for him once he moved on to the next life.
However, Chrome after this matured greatly and, after suffering a minor crisis of faith when Mukuro abandoned her, found her own way to hold herself up on her own two feet. Though separated from Mukuro hurt her greatly, she took the lesson he was trying to teach her (becoming independent) to heart and found her inner strength. She became much more determined to be strong enough to protect those she loved and cared about, dragging herself from the hospital and using her own power separate of Mukuro to give herself the illusionary organs she needs to survive. She then goes on to fight with Mukuro as his equal, declaring her intent to protect him, and not be someone who needs protected anymore.
Abilities: --Proficient in hand-to-hand combat and in fighting with her trident
-- Chrome’s main, and largest, power is her ability to create illusions, both Normal and Real: “Normal Illusions are illusions that the Illusionist puts in the mind of one person, while Real Illusions are illusions that which are put on reality and have an actual existence and mass.” More explained http://reborn.wikia.com/wiki/Illusion here, but essentially Normal illusions are just that--an illusion. If the victim believes the illusion to be real, it can harm them-- however if they’re aware they’re experiencing an illusion, they’ll be fine. Real illusions on the other hand don’t have those sorts of restrictions, regardless if the victim believes it’s real or not, it can harm them. Real illusions are how Chrome keeps her body going, since her organs are made up of them. If her power is cut off, the illusionary organs disappear as well, and Chrome begins to die.
(Illusionists/wielders of the Mist Flame are often called magi/mages/magicians/etc though Chrome usually will just refer to herself as an illusionist)
Cortina Nebbia - She is able to create a Mist Barrier from her Mist Flame, that traps anyone in it.
Genjū Gagaia (lit. Intensely Real Illusion Beast - Corpse Eating Crows) It forms ravenous crows that eat its opponents.
She can do a variety of things with her illusions, there's really almost no limit, from perfectly impersonating someone, to hiding herself within an illusion of someone else, creating entire worlds and atmospheres within a space (for example, an entire room might be, say, a classroom, but Chrome can illusion it to be a wide open field. The person within the illusion could run around freely, drink water from a spring, etc etc. and be none the wiser until Chrome takes the illusion away and they're just standing in the middle of a room). The two techniques listed above are just two specific attacks mentioned in the series.

 ☄ First Impressions ♚ VISUAL: 4'9'' / 152 cm 90 lbs / 41kg Tiny, she looks terribly under-nourished and much like a strong breeze would knock her off her feet. Her hair is a dark purple, done up in a style that makes her look somewhat like a pineapple (thanks ken). On her back is a long scar. Obviously there's the eyepatch that bears a skull shape on it. ♚ FASHION: Usually in her green uniform or various dresses. Dresses rather feminine, usually in white or shades of purple. Rarely wears pants. Her skirts tend to be short even when she's fighting but magic in avoiding unfortunate wardrobe malfunctions. Shakes head at this canon. ♚ DEMEANOUR: Depends on the situation. If a battle is coming up, she's standing straighter and at the ready, determined and ready to take on anything that comes her way despite her nervousness. in normal situations, she's semi-relaxed, but there's a readiness to jump into action at any moment. She's always watching. When she sits its with her back straight and hands folded politely in her lap. She blushes very easily and tends to act very shy, avoiding eye contact and shifting her weight. ♚ AURAL: i will do this later /waves hand. Soft-spoken, sweet voice. ♚ OLFACTORY: Probably lilies? Idk why that just sounds good. Lilies and/or apples. Sometimes sweets, like chocolate, bc she snacks on them so much. ♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: Mentally Chrome is quite strong, though it's shown that any barriers she has can be broken and she can be mind-controlled if someone's much more powerful than her (fuck u daemon spade). However she can see through most illusions and knows when one is being placed on her, and generally can block most attempts at reading her mind. However I'm always down for Shenanigans, so just hit me up and we can work something out if you want your character to b able to read her mind for whatever reason. ♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: Chrome is capable of producing a mist flame-- you could say it's like her...element? Of a sort? Description: The Construction special trait of the Mist Flame makes it optimal to be used along Illusions, specially during the creation of Real Illusions. They are described as having a low hardness and, consequentially, it has a weak offensive power. Appearance: The most opaque among the Seven Flames of the Sky, Mist Flames' coloring is pale white around its core and gradually turns into a dark indigo at the Flame's edges. Characters are free to pick up something on this. Also while not magical...ish, Chrome actually has little i nthe way of internal organs and what she does have is severely damaged. Her body is being kept alive by her illusions, which sort of trick her body into thinking she has fully functioning organs. This is also something characters are free to pick up on. ☄ OOC ♚ BACKTAGGING: Yep! I'll backtag for a while but if the thread i tapering off into smalltalk levels, I'll just drop it. If you're still interested in continuing a thread or have ideas on how to continue one or smth, please just let me know and I'll be glad to pick it back up! ♚ FOURTHWALLING: I'm totally fin with any and all levels of fourthwall breaking ♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Chrome is very quick and depending of severity of the affection gesture a reaction could range from tolerating it, to side-stepping it entirely, to putting up an illusion for a quick escape. Usually she'll just politely ask you to stop/back off, and outright run off if it doesn't. ♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: I'm up for it! Chrome is actually pretty strong despite how weak and tiny she looks, but her power lies more in her illusions and mental strength. She'll definitely put up a fight if she has to, but she'd usually prefer not to if she has a choice. It's totally ♚ RELATIONSHIPS: Let's let things develop naturally, as Chrome is p. young, but if something develops it develops. I almost never say no to ships. |
